It’s no secret that people everywhere have fallen in love with Lucy Maude Montgomery’s red-headed orphan, Anne Shirley. My mom and I are equally obsessed and decided it was high time to visit her homeland of Prince Edward Island. Now that we’re back and settled I wanted to share some of my favorite photos from the trip!
First there was Green Gables
Saw some amazing flowers that the island is so fond of growing. Seriously.
We got to witness the Haunted Wood- which is definitely a little spook- & Lover’s Lane, which is not.
And we bought some silly pottery for toothbrushes
We enjoyed mussels EVERY DAY ~ Island food is awesome.
Then there were amazing churches in Charlottetown- like this one built by ship-builders
Chatted with some interesting people
We got to see the “White Sands Hotel”… also known as Dalvay by the Sea
We rode bikes along the MANY bike trails across the island.
Ate an amazing lobster!
We danced upon the red sand shores and the amazing rocks the coastline boasts
Saw some amazing landscapes
Farmland Galore & rolling hills right up to the water
Seen beautiful lighthouses all over the island,
And overall had an amazing time with my mommy!
